ALA Scholarship Award
All applicants must undertake an English language test (IELTS). The result of the IELTS test is forwarded to the university. For ALA the English Language requirement is specific and evidence of the attainment of the level required is the responsibility of the applicant and must be produced. This information should be taken from the Australian scholarships website. The applicant must come with an unconditional offer for a place at a University. This offer from the University would include the IELTS requirement. However, evidence of English Language attainment must be produced with the application for an ALA.
During the Placement process the universities consider the IELTS results to determine the suitability for the course for which you applied. Your level of English must be equivalent to an average IELTS level of 5.0 or above.
The test required for ALA Scholarship specifies the following, you must demonstrate English language
proficiency by:
- Demonstrating that you have undertaken an English language test, no earlier than 31 December 2006, and obtained the minimum English language requirements set out below:
- An IELTS Academic Test with an overall score of at least 6.5 and no band less than 6, or
- A TOEFL paper-based test score of at least 580, or
- A TOEFL computer-based test score of at least 237, or
- A TOEFL Internet-based score of at least 92.
The IELTS English Language Test in Mongolia is provided by authorised agencies.
